BlackRock EM ETF Doubles Net Assets Since September

iShares' enhanced equity Ucits fund EMEE banners strong year of inflows for emerging market ETFs.

BlackRock EM ETF Doubles Net Assets Since September
Published:

BlackRock's flagship UCITS exchange-traded fund (ETF) for emerging market equities exposure has doubled its net assets in only a few months - up to $670 million in trading last week after beginning September at less than half that number, according to filings.

The strong Q4 comes after the investment giant, and many of its peers, had reset its fund strategy in recent years with respect to EM - including quietly winding some down.

Results have proven fairly strong for EMEE, like EM equities more broadly, though the ballooning assets are likely drawn from inflows rather than turning over performance, as investors (including institutions) continue to open their minds to an active ETF product for EM exposure.
